Anti-dumping Duty

　Anti-dumping duties are additional customs duties imposed, for the protection of domestic industries, on imported goods sold at an export price (dumping price) lower than the normal value (such as the domestic sales price in the exporting country, etc.), where such imports cause injury, etc., to a domestic industry in Japan producing like products, in an amount of not exceeding the amount of the dumping margin (the difference between the normal value and the dumping price).

　Such measures are also permitted under the WTO Agreements, which aim to promote the liberalization of world trade and strengthen trade rules, subject to certain disciplines.
