An anti-dumping duty system is a system to impose an extra duty in addition to customs duty to protect a domestic industry, which produces in Japan the like product of the imported product sold for export at a dumped price and suffers injury caused by such import, to the extent that an amount equivalent to or less than the difference between the normal price meaning, in principle, a sales price in the exporting country, and the dumped price. It is allowed with a certain condition under the WTO agreements, which aim to strength trade rules and liberalize world trade.
