On Monday, March 25, 2024, the Ministry of Finance, the World Bank (We-fi : Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative), and the Asian Development Bank jointly held an event titled, “Advancing Women’s Economic Empowerment in the Care Economy”. The event promoted women entrepreneurs and women-owned SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) in developing countries under the theme of care work, such as housework, childcare, and nursing care. Mr. SETO Takakazu, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Finance, Government of Japan, delivered the opening remarks.
