Statement by Mr. KATO Katsunobu, Minister of Finance, Japan


  1. The Asian Development Bank announced today that Mr. KANDA Masato, Special Advisor to Japan’s Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance, was unanimously elected as its President.

  2. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all ADB Members who extended their support to Mr. Kanda’s candidacy. I wish Mr. Kanda the very best in his next endeavor as ADB President, drawing on his rich experience that cuts across international finance and development.
