The Third Japan-Korea Finance Deputies’ Dialogue (September 15, 2025)

- Japanese and Korean finance authorities discuss bilateral and multilateral cooperation –

On September 15, Vice Minister of Finance for International Affairs of Japan Atsushi Mimura and Deputy Minister for International Affairs of Korea’s Ministry of Economy and Finance Choi Ji-young held the third Japan-Korea Finance Deputies’ Dialogue at the Government Complex-Seoul.

The meeting was convened to discuss cooperation between the two countries’ finance authorities. The two sides exchanged views on major issues concerning the global economy and financial markets, as well as on multilateral fora such as ASEAN+3, APEC, and the G20. They also held consultations on other matters, including the upcoming 10^th Japan-Korea Finance Ministerial Dialogue to be held in Tokyo

The finance authorities of the two countries plan to continue close cooperation not only at the senior level but also at the working level.
