Masato Kanda, Vice Minister for International Affairs attends an EU Heads of Missions Meeting to Japan (Meeting of EU and EU Member States Ambassadors)（June 20, 2024）

On June 20, 2024, Masato Kanda, Vice Minister for International Affairs, attended a meeting joined by 27 Ambassadors of European Union (EU) Member States in Tokyo and hosted by His Excellency Mr. Jean-Eric Paquet, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Japan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, and exchanged views with participants. The overview of the meeting is as follows.

1. At the meeting, Vice Minister Kanda introduced economic and fiscal policies of Japan and explained the progress in the G7 and the G20 Finance Tracks.
2. Furthermore, Vice Minister Kanda expressed his hope to promote cooperation with the EU and the EU member states on key issues, such as support for Ukraine, sanction against Russia, Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) evolution and global debt issues, which Ambassadors supported.
