Extension of the Period of Anti-Dumping Investigation on Hot-dipped galvanized steel coil, sheet and strip originating in the Republic of Korea and the People’s Republic of China

With regard to the Anti-Dumping Duty Investigation on Hot-dipped galvanized steel coil, sheet and strip* originating in the Republic of Korea and the People’s Republic of China**, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) have decided to extend the period of investigation by four months until December 12, 2026. The purpose of this extension is to review the evidence and the relevant documents submitted by interested parties, while ensuring full transparency and fairness throughout the investigation process.
* Note:Steel coil, sheet and strip equipped with high anti-rust by hot-dipped galvanizing on the surface and mainly used for construction materials such as guardrails, houses, fences, and components of electric appliances.
** Note:Excluding the regions of Hong Kong and Macao.

MOF and METI have been conducting the investigation since August 13, 2025. The investigation shall be concluded within one year, but the period can be extended by six months at most in special circumstances.
