Policy Research Institute (PRI) held its “Seminar on Economic Policies 2024” in Tokyo from August 22 to September 13, 2024. This annual seminar aims to support participating countries in developing their human resources by disseminating knowledge and experiences regarding Japanese public finance and economy to young executive candidates from finance ministries and other relevant institutions in developing countries. This year, to provide the participants with more significant opportunities to build a broader network, we merged two seminars: the former Seminar on Economic Policies, mainly for ASEAN countries, and the Seminar for Central Asian and Caucasian Countries. During these three weeks, twenty-six participants from 15 countries deepened their understanding of Japanese experience with fiscal and economic policies and cultures through lectures, group work discussions, and site visits.
