The Policy Research Institute (PRI) held the “Seminar for Central Asian and Caucasian Countries 2021” from December 20 to 24, 2021. This annual seminar is a part of Japan’s intellectual supports for the countries with transitional economies, aiming to contribute to human resource development in Central Asian and Caucasian countries. Accepting promising young officials from their ministries of finance, tax authorities and so on, we provide them with knowledge and experiences regarding the Japanese fiscal and economic systems.

This year, PRI organized via on-line system due to the situation of COVID-19, and 8 officials from the Ministry of Finance in Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyz, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan and the Banking and Finance Academy of Uzbekistan (BFA).
