Since June 2023, the PRI has provided a technical cooperation project on SME finance with the SME Bank of Cambodia (hereinafter referred to as “SME Bank”), which is under the technical and financial guardianship of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), Cambodia, in cooperation with the Japan Finance Corporation, Micro Business and Individual Unit (hereinafter referred to as “JFC-Micro”). This project pursues SME Bank’s human resource development and credit operation improvement by providing JFC-Micro’s know-how.
As part of this project, we held a seminar from November 19 to 20 in Phnom Penh with JFC-Micro as the lecturer. In the seminar, SME Bank 33 participants gained more practical knowledge of credit analysis through lectures and case studies, including “Points of Credit Analysis by Industry” and “Interview Techniques of Credit Analysis”.
The seminar was very fruitful, with participants actively engaged in the lectures and case studies and exchanging opinions.
