The PRI has launched a technical cooperation project on SME finance with the SME Bank of Cambodia (hereinafter referred to as “SME Bank”), which is officially licensed as a commercial bank by the National Bank of Cambodia, in cooperation with the Japan Finance Corporation, Micro Business and Individual Unit (hereinafter referred to as “JFC-Micro”).
This project aims at developing the SME Bank’s human resource and improving its credit operations, by providing JFC-Micro’s know-how. The Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) describing the contents of this project was signed in June 2023.
We held the two-day seminar in Phnom Penh, from June 20 to 21, 2023. We conducted the lectures on the credit analysis methods and the credit management of JFC-Micro for 25 participants including branch managers of SME Bank.
The seminar was so vibrant that the participants joined the seminar enthusiastically and asked a lot of questions.
