The trilateral workshops have been held in rotation between the Policy Research Institute (PRI), the Chinese Academy of Social Science (CASS), and the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) every year since 2007, in order to share the current economic situation as well as the common economic and fiscal challenges each country faces and deepen the mutual understanding.

 

On December 7, 2023, the 16th trilateral workshop was held in a face-to-face format in Tokyo for the first time in four years. The presenters from each institute gave presentations on the following subjects, followed by the active and constructive discussion among commentators, presenters and other participants.
