Issuance of the Inflation-Indexed Bonds on April-June 2020

Issuance of the Inflation-Indexed Bonds on April-June 2020 will be as follows


1) Issuance of the Inflation-Indexed Bonds on April-June 2020 

  • Issuance Amount in May 2020 will be about 300 billion yen.
     
  • Auction Schedule of Buy-back Program of the Inflation-Indexed Bonds on April-June 2020.

  (Note1)The auction will be conducted once a month.
  (Note2)Issues eligible for the buy-backs will be those from issue number 17 to the new issue. 
  (Note3)The Ministry of Finance reserves the right not to accept part or all of bids.

The plan could be changed owing to market conditions and others.

2) Buy-back Program of the Inflation-Indexed Bonds in March 2020    

  The Ministry of Finance has decided to conduct an auction of the Buy-back program for an amount of approximately 300 billion yen in March 2020 in addition to the originally scheduled auction.

(Note)
The auction of the Buy-back program will be conducted through the price-spread-competitive (multi-price) auction method with a limit of bidding spread with the “standard price." (This is not a fixed-price auction.)
Also, the result of the auction will be released at 2 p.m. due to an operational reason. (The results are released at 12:35 p.m. in usual auctions of the Buy-back program.)

3) Issuance method of the Inflation-Indexed Bonds in FY2020    

  • Reopening method  1 issue in FY2020.
    May, August, November 2020 and February 2021 issues will be the issue No. 25.(Maturity:March 10, 2030, Reference CPI:December 2019)
     
  • Auction method is Dutch-style-price-competitive auction (0.05 yen bidding scale).
     
  • Non-Price Competitive Auction Ⅱ will not be conducted for the time being.
