MINISTRY OF FINANCE STATISTICS MONTHLY
Editor’s Note
“Ministry of Finance Statistics Monthly” analyzes important phenomena related to fiscal, monetary and economic affairs, based on major statistics data obtained through operation of the Ministry of Finance as well as other statistics data available to the public. It has been published since 1949 for the purpose of internal reference as well as public use.
Each issue of the monthly focuses on a specific topic. For example, we have published special issues on domestic and international economics, which feature available fiscal and monetary data and other general economic data of Japan and other countries, as well as special issues that cover statistics based on the data obtained through operation of the Ministry of Finance, which analyze major administrative issues. As we basically feature the same topics each year, readers can capture long-term trends by referring back to the past issues that cover that certain topic.
The web publication has ended with No. 822 (October 2020).
Note
The monthly is issued every month in principle, but we may issue an extra edition or combined issue.
We may also change the topics that have been continuously covered according to changes in situations.
The printed version of “Ministry of Finance Statistics Monthly” (Japanese only) is sold at government publications service centers and government report stores in Japan. Past issues are available for browsing and photocopying at the National Diet Library in Japan.
