August 13, 1996 Editorial notes on the Ministry of Finance's home page on the Internet

        Recently the responsibility for editing the home page of the Ministry of
Finance on the Internet was assigned to me, Yuzou Harada.                       
        During the past two months or so, since the Ministry started its home page
on the Internet, we have received many valuable opinions and much encouragement 
from Internet users.  We very much appreciate this support and cooperation.  We 
intend to have these voices reflected as much as possible in our efforts to     
maximize effective and efficient use of this service.                           
        We have made a change to our home page to make access to information    
easier.  Up to now, this information was set up in the form of a tree hierarchy 
at the top page of the home page, as shown below.
