International Investment Position

International Investment Position
International Investment Position (IIP) is a financial statement of value and composition of Japan's external financial assets and liabilities outstanding at the end of each year.
IIP is press released after being reported to the Cabinet as the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Law requires that this statistics are reported to the Cabinet by the end of May in the following year.

International Investment Position (Quarterly Estimate)
International Investment Position (Quarterly Estimate) composed of main items of the yearly IIP, which is compiled mainly on the basis of estimation of the relevant data, is released as a reference to the yearly IIP together with the release of the quarterly external debt statistics.
