Issuance of Commemorative Coins for the Japan-Brazil Year of Exchange, Centenary of the Japanese Immigration to Brazil and Commemorative Coins for the International Skills Festival for All, Japan 2007

The Ministry of Finance will issue coins to commemorate the Japan-Brazil Year of Exchange, Centenary of the Japanese Immigration to Brazil and coins to commemorate the International Skills Festival for All, Japan 2007 which will be held from November 2007, as indicated below.

1. Commemorative Coin of the Japan-Brazil Year of Exchange, Centenary of the Japanese Immigration to Brazil

Denomination 500 yen
Material Nickel brass
Composition

Copper 72%, Zinc 20%

Nickel 8%

Weight 7 g
Diameter 26.5 mm
Other Features Helical Ridges with two different pitches, Latent Image, etc.

3. The exchange procedure of the concerned commemorative coins will be announced by the Ministry of Finance.
